The Centre was founded in 2000 by Latchman Narain, Ph.D (see below) in an effort to address a dire need in the Markham-Scarborough community, considering that there are few counselling resources available to deal with the many individual and family problems stemming from the stress of everyday life. Since its inception, the Centre has experienced rapid growth and has extended its services to North York, in the western side of Toronto. Most clients have reported that they have benefited immensely from the Centre's counselling services which integrates both eastern and western treatment approaches
