Founded in 1941, Jewish Family and Children Services provides a variety of social services to the community in Arizona. Its programs include counseling and support services, services for older and disabled persons, home and refugee services, and community and volunteer services. It also operates the Tucson loan chest and the holocaust program, as well as provides continuing education classes for people working in human services. It provides individual and group interventions, as well as prevention activities against domestic violence, substance abuse, financial illiteracy, depression and suicide.
