Save The Children U.S.A., located in Westport, Conn., is an independent organization offering a wide range of programs and services for children in the United States and around the world. It is a member of the International Save the Children Alliance, comprising more than 25 national Save the Children organizations working in more than 100 countries to ensure the well-being of children. It works in 12 U.S. states, and provides children educational programs, physical activity and nutrition programming during in-school, and out-of-school hours, and create programs to improve academic performance and health. The organization also uses a number of programs to ensure that children achieve self-sufficiency.
