As winter dawns upon us and we begin to turn on our water heaters, it is common to run into problems with your water heating system. When there’s a problem with your water heater, you will usually know right away because the water will stay too cold, and the stream coming out of faucets will not warm up like it usually does. You can tell that the water heater isn’t working correctly if you notice leaks around it or on top of it. If there’s water around or on top of the water heater, that means there is a leak. The leaking water could mean that your system had some component break, such as a broken pipe attached to it, or it also could mean that something went wrong with one of its other parts.
