Freedom Center for Independent Living is an organization created by and for people with disabilities. Located in Middletown, Del., it is a resource and advocacy center that promotes independent living and equal access for people with all types of disabilities of any age. The organization s core services are available in the categories of advocacy, information and referral, independent living skills and peer support. These services include training on how to contact public officials, education of advocacy methods, comprehensive database of resource organizations, monthly peer mentor meetings and more.
