Founded by Shauna Fiorentino (Certified Hand and Upper Extremity Specialist) in 2010, The Hand Institute has grown to be the largest rehabilitation center of its kind in the region. It is the only Rehabilitation center locally to concentrate entirely on the upper quarter, which includes the cervical spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Due to the complexity of the upper extremity, anatomy and the impact a condition or injury may have on a patient function, this field has evolved into a specialty that is better suited to treat and achieve best possible outcomes.
