Consulmed is a medical billing and collections company based in Bountiful, Utah. Its services and products enable doctors to meet the requirements of the Health Insurance portability and Accountability Act system, as well as keep all information that falls under the HIPAA guidelines safe and secure. Its services include pickup of patient information, coding with appropriate codes, computerized billing to insurance companies and filing, daily deposit of monies, monthly statement of activity to patients and aging of accounts. For patients, Consulmed is the liaison with the insurance company and the doctor, allowing the doctor to focus solely on caring for the patient, and taking over the extensive billing process.
